OXFORD UNIVERSITY

As you know, I visited Cambridge a while back. I figured I couldn’t let Oxford feel left out so I took a little trip there today. ;) It was kind of a last minute trip, but I’m glad I went. It is about an hour and 20-minute bus ride from where we live to Oxford so I got some good sleeping in. :) We explored the town, colleges, churches, theatres, and stores.

We went inside New College and also the New College Chapel. Goodness! This chapel was so beautiful! The stained glass was breathtaking! I have never seen anything so beautiful! The picture doesn’t do it justice.

My Favorite stained glass by far.
me, Eden, Jacqui, Chery, Mia, and Hillary

We went into the Library but couldn’t go all the way in because the last tour was full. Sadness. But we were able to see the theatre that Christopher wren built. Chery—a girl who is a music major at BYU—sang a song for us in the theatre because the acoustics are supposed to be amazing. And they were! We went into some cute stores and saw lots of old buildings. Our last adventure was Christ chapel. They filmed parts of Harry potter here, like the dining hall from the movie and some staircase. What do I know though? I’ve never seen the movies. Ha. And yes I have been chastised many times because of this. I am determined to at least watch the movies when I go home so people won’t think I am crazy any longer.
